The Love of God

The love of God, unutterable and perfect,
flows into a pure soul the way that light
rushes into a transparent object.
The more love that it finds, the more it gives
itself; so that, as we grow clear and open,
the more complete the joy of heaven is.
And the more souls who resonate together,
the greater the intensity of their love,
and, mirror like, each soul reflects the other.
This is as pure an interpretation of the rapture of religious love as you will ever find in western literature. God is an object of love and desire which grows more beneficent and generous of heart and soul towards it`s adorer, the more He is loved. Love is a runaway train of mutual, beatific French kisses that increases exponentially with each ardent embrace. The language is as beautiful and glorious as the concept of religious free love between man and God. Only Dante at his most sublime could have cracked open such a perfect egg of tender intent and divine wonder. His words bathe us in the love of God, and His Light shines upon us in turn, allowing our love to magnify the Lord. As it was in the beginning, and as it ever shall be……..
